About Us

Macro Oil Company, Inc. is a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) that has grown and diversified since its inception in the late 1920s.

With years of experience, we have built a reputation for supplying quality products and providing excellent service. Additionally, Macro Oil Company has been at the forefront in implementing new technology to meet the ever-changing industry standards and environmental regulations.

Founded in 1929 by Howard O. Roy, H.O. Roy Inc. began the tradition of what is today Macro Oil Company, Inc.

In the early 1950s, John E. (Jack) McElligott married Howard's daughter, Mildred (Mimi), and joints H.O. Roy Inc. as a general manager. In 1973, Mimi McElligott became the president of H.O. Roy Inc. and the name was changed to Macro Oil Company, Inc. (a combination of McElligott and Roy). Jack McElligott headed Macro until his death in 1984, when Mimi and two of her sons (Richard and Bill McElligott) assumed control and fueled a growth to where Macro Oil is today.

Now, in its third generation of family ownership, Macro has over 100 employees, an Emergency Fuel Management Divion, a Vacuum Truck division, a fleet fueling management company operation in eight states, one of the largest bulk oil and fuel distributors in the South and a commercial transportation fleet. Macro is constantly growing and evolving in order to best serve our customers.
